This is an excellent large set for players who love to play backgammon. The smooth felt surface provides a playing field which allows seemless movement for the stones facilitating rapid play.
The set is very well made esspecially for the current selling price. The quality of the product is good and we would have rated the product a five except for two fairly minor things we would have liked to have seen in the set.
First the stones should have been black and red to match the black and red pips on the board. Additionally we feel the stones should have been one size larger and 3/8 ths in thickness. In spite of this we love the set enough that we will most likely replace the stones and have a set that is just perfect for us.

The good:
1) the size
2) clean look
Could be better
1) the red and black points are painted on
2) like the previous reviewer - I too had to get out the glue. Nothing broken, just the place where you store the chips and dice after use needed re-gluing.
I think I paid $30, worth the money as I think the typical big box stores have a smaller version for over $20.

We got this in a timely manner and the case was attractive since it does not have the dorky two stripes along the sides.
The good:
1. Case
2. Affordable
3. Big
The bad:
1. Painted felt
2. Red on red vs. White on black plastic stones
3. Looks like I paid $30
It came with some assembly required but nothing a glue gun can't fix. I like it but I do with the points matched the stones. The stones could be heavier but they are not that bad.
The size makes it much nicer to play at home so good outweighs the bad. I'd give it four starts but it did come in pieces so that drops a star right there.
