Bought it as a starter kit to introduce the kids to checkers/chess, (backgammon was a bonus). Good value and decent quality. The chess pieces are a little smaller then the "regular" size would be but other than that it's an excellent product.

I've only had this chessboard for a couple of months, and the laminated board is already warping and separating from the main assembly. It looks great in pictures, but it's actually very poorly made. I thought I was getting a deal on a nice chessboard for my son and me, but I got what I paid for: a piece of junk.

The checker board looks OK, laminated wood, but the backgammon board is spray painted on to the ply wood interior. The hinges are cheap and not even screwed in well. The cups for the dice are hard plastic and cheap looking. This set should sell for less than $20.00, not $59. My advice is to look else where for a 3 in 1 chess set.

This was a Fathers Day gift to my husband from our son. It was everything that we expected however, with backgammon there have always been cups for the dice. Even the miniture magnetic games have cups. Otherwise the set is decent...we'll have to buy cups elsewhere.
