 Terrible quality worksmanship!Apr 06, 2010
This dice tray is the flimsiest piece of junk imaginable. Here are my complaints:
1) The wooden top is top nailed and very little attempt at filling the numerous nail holes was made.
2) The wood finish is not smooth or uniform.
3) The felt is pieced together with one large piece covering the bottom of the tray and each side having its own piece.
4) The bottom of the tray is marlite and very flimsy.
5) The underside of the tray does not have felt feet or a felt bottom to prevent damage to tables.
6) The dice cup is cardboard.
All in all, I am extremely disappointed, especially since the tray would cost $7.50 to return, making the cost of shipping both ways more than I could expect to get from the actual return. This product should not be sold on Amazon as I have grown to expect far greater quality merchandise from Amazon. I would vehemently recommend purchasing a different product, whether it be on Amazon, [...], or from your friendly local game store.

Just a small followup:
I contacted the company and was presented with two solutions to my problems with the tray. They were very understanding, prompt, and efficient in dealing with my complaints. Kudos to ChipsandGames!

THE PREVIOUS REVIEWERS WERE RIGHT. THE LEDGE MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE ALL DICE. I USED IT A LITTLE THEN GAVE IT AWAY.

My husband and I host Dungeons and Dragons games on a regular basis in our house, and this dice tray has really helped out. It's perfect for dice rolling and makes the dice easy to read, and prevents a lot of cheating. My only complaint is that I wish it came in a slightly bigger size. Overall, though, it's nicely constructed and relatively light.

While the tray is one of the largest offered online, it is really too small for my style of play.
The dice total cannot be viewed completely by anyone other than the person who threw them due to the small size of the dice supplied and the height of the side wall.
The corners all fit very well but the felt could have been installed better.
I added felt feet to allow the tray to slide between players but this may have added a "hollow" sound to the board.
This would be perfect for a limited size play area like on a plane, train, or automobile. I plan to build my own.

I purchased this for a friend who would occasionally attack the rest of us with flying dice. I was unfortunate enough to be in his general path, and this has solved that problem. He rolls a lot of ones, though, and we have yet to figure out if the curse is from the dice or the tray. But, knowing the player, it's probably all him.
